Question 1 of 6

What are you actually building?

How the test works

Every answer you give scores all 15 platforms at once instead of sending you down a fixed branch. The scoring uses the same verified data as our platform directory: entry price, free plan limits, automation depth, paid subscriptions, referral and sponsorship tooling, EU hosting and interface languages. That is why the result comes with the reasons it matched, and why any platform in the directory can win.

Pricing behind the scoring last verified: 10 August 2026

If you already know what you need

The test exists for when the trade-offs are not obvious. If yours already is, here is the short version, straight to the profile.

Frequently asked questions

How does this platform test work?

You answer 6 questions about your project, your budget, how you plan to make money, how much automation you need, whether you need EU hosting and what you are not willing to give up. Each answer scores all 15 platforms in our directory on verified data, and the three highest scores are shown with the reasons they matched.

Which platforms can the test recommend?

All 15 in the directory: ActiveCampaign, Beehiiv, Brevo, Buttondown, Constant Contact, EmailOctopus, Flodesk, GetResponse, Ghost, Kit, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Omnisend, Substack. Any of them can come out on top, because the result is a score rather than a fixed branch of a decision tree.

Is the recommendation based on affiliate deals?

No. The scoring runs on the same data as the platform directory: pricing checked on each provider's own pricing page, plus features like automation depth, paid subscriptions, EU hosting and interface languages. Nobody pays to rank higher here.

What if I disagree with the result?

Take the two runners-up seriously, they are usually close. The result links straight to each platform's profile, with pricing, limits and a plain list of when not to use it, and the full directory compares all of them side by side.

Do I have to sign up or give my email?

No. The test runs entirely in your browser, there is no signup, and nothing you answer is sent anywhere or stored.
